Sean Pierse
Sean co-founded abm financial advisers in 2004 with over 14 years experience in the financial services sector. Sean graduated from University College Dublin with a Business & Legal degree, before training with Barr Pomeroy as a chartered accountant. Sean qualified as a Chartered Accountant, specialising in tax before obtaining the Associate of the Institute of Tax Ireland and worked as a Financial Accountant with the Hibernian Hotel Group and Apple Computers. Sean is now a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and is also a Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) and a Fellow of the LIA (FLIA), the highest qualification solely offered by the LIA (the educational and professional body for people working in the financial services industry). Sean was Chairman of the Chartered Accountants Cork Society from 2007 to 2010.
Eoin Buckley
Eoin graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Cork in 1993. He worked in London where he qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA). Eoin next worked in various financial roles including ABN Amro in Sydney and Dresdner RCM Global Investors in San Francisco before returning to Cork in 1999. Eoin worked in various management accounting roles for Musgrave and Apple Computers before co-founding abm financial advisers in 2004. This change in focus from finance at a company level to personal level necessitated further skills and since 2004, Eoin has become a Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA), a Fellow of the LIA (FLIA) and a technician member of the Institute of Tax Ireland (TMITI). This is in addition to obtaining a mortgage diploma and a pension diploma from the Life Insurance Association (LIA).
Industry Associations & Achievements
Eoin was awarded a gold medal by the LIA for achieving first place in the Qualified Financial Advisers 2005 examinations.
